The Bartlett Cemetery From ALNORCA: "When our grandmother, Drusilla Bartlett Griffith," reads document in the possession of Mrs. Edward Hanson of Collins, "neared the time to lay off the mortal, she was troubled because of a dissension in the Quaker meeting that extended to burial-grounds. As she was in connection with the Friends, her mind was sorely tried until she said to my father, "Smith, I never believe in a quarrel and don't want any over the spot where I am buried, so I wish thee would give out of thy farm a piece of land for a burying-ground where I can be lain, when I die, in peace-also my children and my grandchildren".
Smith Bartlett measured and marked out a plot of land in about 1848, the beginning of the Bartlett Cemetery on Quaker St. in Collins.
Buried in the hallowed grounds of the Bartlett cemetery, located on the west side of South Quaker Road, in the Town of Collins lies Drusilla Smith Bartlett (Griffith) and her descendants, including the bearer of the land for the burial ground; Smith Bartlett. The Sisson Cemetery The ALNORCA series indicates: "Adjacent to it on the west, is the small, beautifully kept private plot of the Frank Sisson family." In reality, the small family plot is becoming unkept. The Sisson marker has been tipped from it's base and the stones are covered with an ivy that is claiiming the area. The path alongside the fence surrounding the Bartlett cemetery is rough and overgrown as well, and the actual gravesites are sunken below the other ground area. The following persons, according to headstones, rest in this tiny unkept plot: - "Mother" Clara T Sisson 1848 - 1933
- "Father" G Frank Sisson 1850 - 1933
- Robert H Sisson 1874 - 1936
- Lawrence H Sisson 1905 - 1932
- Blanche M Sisson 1874 - 1976
- George C McClain 1874 - 1951
- Marcus H Hanes August 30, 1899 - April, 1975 (died in Hamburg, Erie, NY)
- Lorene Sisson Hanes October 22, 1897 - February, 1976 (died in Gowanda, Cattaraugus, NY)
- Florence M Sisson 1881 - 1947
